DC to initiate action for proportional redistributions of teachers

BOMDILA, June 29: In the back drop of the beginning of the academic sessions of the year and in order to have a firsthand knowledge on the functioning of government run schools, the Deputy Commissioner Rinchin Tashi accompanied by DDSE B. N. Lendo, SSA Co-ordinator D.W.Kharma and ADEO (Academic) N.G.Bapu paid a surprise visit to all the schools in the district headquarter and its peripheral areas today.

The statistical data collected during the surprise visit revealed that the number of teachers in the district headquarters far exceeded the teacher student ratio as ordained by the government. Considering the claims of the people of the outposts and far-flung areas for posting of teachers, the DC made it public that administrative measures would be taken for transfer and posting of teachers to those areas from the schools located in the district headquarter where the ratio of teachers exceed and those found irregular and unfaithful to their profession keeping in view the future of the students in the district.

DC Tashi and the team thoroughly checked the attendance register and leave account of the teachers as some teachers were found absent without any official authorization. Taking strong exception of the lackadaisical attitude of some of the teachers willfully remaining absent; the Deputy Commissioner in his interaction with the teachers in all the schools visited, underscored the need for punctuality, dedication and hard work on the part of the teaching community so as to do justice to the profession and expectations of the parents and society as a whole.

Concerned over the sorry state of affairs in a particular school visited this morning, DC Rinchin Tashi, without mincing any words directed the Institutional heads to exercise their administrative power in right earnest without fear, favour and partiality. Well concerned with the ways the youngsters behave and adopt means and ways to fulfill their desires in this present era, the Deputy Commissioner advised the teachers to go for moral teachings besides the normal text book teachings so as to inculcate high moral values and to show the righteous path to the young and upcoming generations.

The second phase would see the Deputy Commissioner and officers of the educational department visiting the schools located in the outposts and far-flung areas of the district. (DIPRO)

APSWC calls for requisite services for the neglected

ITANAGAR, June 29: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) called on the Arunachal Pradesh Legal Services authorities to give the requisite services to the neglected, poor illiterate prison inmates for timely pronouncement of judgments which will facilitate speedy justice. The calls came after a team led by Chairperson Komoli Mossang visited the district Jail, Itanagar yesterday. The team interacted with the two female inmates, to understand the needs of women and officials of Female ward too to take stock of the functioning of the female ward. The APSCW evinced satisfaction that the Health center has adequate infrastructure with a Medical Officer.

During the interaction with the SP Prison Michi Paku, apprised the APSCW that some of the under trails who were accomplices in the cases are still in the jails whereas the prime accused are out of the jail either on bail or absconding. The Commission expressing concern at the developments said that such inmates needed to be provided with legal aid. SP further informed that although the prison is 10 months old, it has premeditated on all round development in the prison.The Commission hailed the jail authority’s innovative idea catering to the spiritual needs of the under trial inmate and starting a library.

Commission has further called on the concerned authority to expedite the case of twin murder cases of two young sisters in the capital and rape and murder of the minor girl. It said that the cases are still awaiting justice.

Association with a cause

ITANAGAR, June 29: Arunachal Orphans’ Welfare Association (AOWA) working for the welfare of poor and destitute, has so far facilitated admissions to over 570 poor students in various schools and coaching institutes either free of cost or with concession. Four-hundred of them are in various reputed private schools and rest in coaching institutes, AOWA president Achu Bagang said in a release. Arunachal Orphans School managed by AOWA under the chairmanship of Obing Jerang has been doing commendable job in this direction, he said. "There are few such organizations which are really working for the welfare of people. But, those NGOs are not getting due recognitions," he regretted.

Meanwhile, AOWA appointed Mihin Kuru as vice president.

Roads and Water projects for Tirap on the offing: DoNER

KHONSA, June 29: The Secretary of Development of Northeast Region, Jayati Chandra visited Tirap district on June 28-29 and inspected various work sites to assess progress. While interacting with HoDs at Khonsa, the Secretary said that a number of road projects and a mega water supply project for Khonsa Township were under active consideration of DoNER adding that schemes should be realistic and timely completion must be ensured without compromising the quality of work.

Chandra lamented that the departments tend to ask for new schemes without completing the earlier projects. She further said that backwardness of the place, urgency and efficiency of executing agency were considered before sanctioning any project from DoNER.

The local MLA Kamthok Lowang apprised her on some of the pressing problems facing the district, especially water scarcity and poor roads.

The DC, W.Lowang highlighted the profile of the district and urged the Secretary to take up the water supply project for Khonsa on top priority.

Earlier on the day the Secretary inspected the Dirok Bridge on Margherita-Deomali road and visited R.K.Mission school at Narotham Nagar wherein she interacted with the teachers and Students.

Chandra held a brief meeting with the HoDs and local MLA, Wangki Lowang at Deomali. Later in the evening she visited RK Sarada Mission School at Khonsa and inspected the school and hostel buildings there.

Today the Secretary inspected the roads and other project at Khonsa and rear by villages while the MLA Lowang held a meeting with PWD, RWD, PHED and UD department to discuss water supply and road problem at Khonsa. He later personally inspected the roads in Khonsa. He has sanctioned Rs 1 Crore for drainage under SPA. (DIPRO)

DC seeks report on child labour

Upper Siang Coordination meet

ITANAGAR, June 29: During a coordination meeting of all departments and Public of Upper Siang today,

DC Pawan Kumar Sain instructed the Labour Officers sought reports regarding the Child Labour in the district so that schemes for their welfare can be provided.

DC further informed that the VKV will start functioning from next month and district website launched soon. Speaking on series of issues, the DC informed that payments of under Border Area Dev. Programme will be cleared only after proper physical survey and clearance by a committee.

The DC expressed concerned over the erosion of airfield and appealed to the concerned departments for its protection. He further appealed for cooperation to contain illegal activities like housie, forceful donation. MLA Alo Libang, appealed all to work as a team with co-operation and co-ordination while insisting that development of the district depends on the sincerity and dedication of the officer. He assured to provide all possible help and said that while implementing any scheme, quality should not be compromised.

Connectivity given top priority: Sidisow

BHALUKPONG, June 29: Kumsi Sidisow, MLA 6th Thrizino-Buragaon Constituency, said that the road connectivity area has been prioritized and assured the house gathering that all the area of his constituency will be connected with road within next year.

He was addressing as chief guest in annual conference of All Hrusson (Aka) Socio-Culture Society at Thrizino from 25th June to 26 last. He further stressed on educational values and urged all the Panchayats and newly selected members of the Society to give importance on the qualitative and quantitative education in Aka area for overall development of the community.

The conference was also attended by Tani Loffa, MLA 11th Seppa West, Panchayat leaders, public leaders, GBs, Intelligentsia, and various NGOs of Aka area. On the occasion, the house present also paid tribute o late Johar Dususow, a renowned social activist of the Aka community who was also serving as Vice- President of the society till his last breath.

After a brainstorming session and long discussion, the house unanimously selected Govardhan Nimasow, Labi Dususow and Dibru Dususow as the president, vice president and general secretary of the Society for three years.

Meanwhile, local MLA Kumsi Sidisow has been selected as its chief patron. The AHSCS resolved to visit Aka area from time to time to look into the grievances of the villagers and to solve their problem accordingly and to organize the Nyethidow festival annually.

MLA calls for declaration of state of emergency

ITANAGAR, June 29: Parliamentary Secretary (Agri) Rajesh Tacho considering the grim situation of Dibang Valley District, which has been suffering for the last four months following road blockade has appealed to the Chief Minister to declare the Dibang Valley District as disaster affected area immediately and for declaration of state of emergency as per the recommendation given by the Deputy Commissioner, Anini.

Tacho also urged the Chief Minister to approve 39 ration sorties to airlift essential ration commodities to meet the food crisis of the Dibang Valley District till restoration of road communication.

Doctors, orgs demands actions against Police

ITANAGAR, June 29: Arunachal Pradesh Doctor’s Association, All Sagalee Employees Forum, All Papum Pare District Students’ Union (APPDSU), ZPM, Leporiang and other PR leaders have demanded action against Officer in Charge L R Rana for allegedly beating up Dr Tana Talin Tara, Medical Officer PHC, Leporaing. The organisations said that not only the doctor was beaten up by the Police officers, they registered false case and subsequently arrested Dr Tara. The version of the organizations is that Dr Tara was on official duty when his parked Car was hit by a Tata Mobile belonging to one Rajesh Pandey at A’ sector Naharlagun. It said that Pandey, the owner of the car asked the doctor not to register a case and offered to repair the damaged car and also offered to transport the medicines to Leporiang. As negotiated the doctor apparently approached Pandey the next day. Instead of honouring the deal, the trader allegedly offered some money to the doctor which resulted in heated argument. In the meantime, Rakesh Pandey, the brother of Rajesh Pandey allegedly threatened them with gun.

The Police allegedly picked up the doctor and his friends from the scene to the police station, where they allegedly beat them up.

The doctors said that Dr Tana has suffered grievous injury resulting in hearing impairment because of a ruptured ear drum.

PEBSU reacts

ITANAGAR, June 29: Terming the news report on carrying of a dao by the Nikte Govt Secondary School headmaster during his visit to hostel on June 23 as baseless and fabricated, Paktu Ete Bango Students’ Union (PEBSU) today claimed that the apex student body AAPSU had reacted to the reported incident without knowing the ground realities.

AAPSU’s comments on the incidents without proper verification are regrettable, the union said. The headmaster has right to inspect the hostel in order to maintain a peaceful and congenial atmosphere, the union justified and said that instead of complying with the rules, the students destroyed the quarters and personal belongings of the HM. The union claimed that this is not the first attack of its kind. Earlier, the teaching community had faced similar problems, it added.

Raj Bhavan attracts thousands since it threw open its gates

ITANAGAR, June 29: Since the Raj Bhavan threw open its gates for public every Sunday from 3 pm to 5 pm; thousands of people comprising mostly, school children have come visiting.

Conceived by the Governor Gen J.J Singh as a part of his people friendly initiative befitting his sobriquet as the People’s Governor’, the public visit which started on the festive occasion of the 23rd Statehood Day last year, is organized on the line of Mughal Garden of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Added attraction is the games like air rifle shooting, flower name writing and basket ball which are organized by Raj Bhavan officials.

Along with visitors and school students of the capital city, people from Oyan, Pasighat, Daporijo and Tawang and even from neighboring state of Assam have visited the official residence of the Governor.

At times, more than hundreds turn up at the Helipad Gate, from where the visitors are lead into. However, of late, due to rainfall, the numbers of visitors have come down.

The Raj Bhawan, Itanagar, the official residence of the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh located on a hillock close to a historical monument known as ‘Ita-Fort’ (Eastern Gate) stands unique of its kind. Spread over an area of approximately 27 acres, the compound is surrounded by absolute lush green lawn with decorative trees, beautiful flower garden, kitchen garden and fruit trees which rejuvenate one’s spirit and soul. Embedded with ninety odd beds of roses, antirrhinum, dianthus, impatient, marigold, poppy, pansy, petunia, phlox, salvia, gerbera, nasturtium, zinnia and begonia along with dahlia and gladiolus, the compound is a visitor’s delight. Under the initiative of the State First Lady Anupama Singh, two orchid houses with five varieties of exotic orchids, thirty-one of indigenous ones have been set up. Another four new orchids varieties brought by the Governor from Singapore have been added to the houses.

A beautiful nine-hole golf course which has come up in a record time of six months under the initiative of the Governor, gives the compound a majestic look. The orchid center, Hornbill cottage, the fish pond, Bee keeping, the country chicken farm are very popular among them. Round the year, free from contamination of synthetic fertilizer and agro chemical, seventy varieties of vegetables, including trail once are grown in the garden measuring an area of 2088 Sq mtrs. Many research students, progressive farmers and entrepreneurs visited the organic vegetable farm for study and research purposes.

The foundation stone of the Raj Bhawan was laid by Late K.A.A Raja, the then Lt. Governor of the Union Territory of Arunachal Pradesh on 17th April, 1977. Till date the Raj Bhavan has hosted Seventeen Governors counting from the first Governor Bhisma Narain Singh to the present Governor General J.J Singh, who took over the charge of the highest constitutional office in the state on 27 Jan 2008.

The Bhavan consists of main 2-storeyed building, Secretariat building, Darbar Hall and a Guest house. The main building comprises of Governor’s suite with attached dining and study, three guest rooms ‘Tirap,’ ‘Lohit’ and ‘Siang’ on 1st floor and 2 guest rooms ‘Kameng’ and ‘Subansiri’ on the ground floor.

Apart from these there are three annexed rooms; ‘Tawang,’ ‘Dirang’ and ‘Changlang’ for the guests. Embodied with traditional tribal hospitality, it has hosted Presidents, Prime Ministers, Union Ministers and many important dignitaries since 1982.

Training workshop on Citizen Journalism & New Media

ITANAGAR, June 29: Citizen journalism has become a buzzword these days with numerous websites, portals and even news channels giving the ordinary citizen an opportunity to report on events and news that occurs in their vicinity. Keeping this in mind, a workshop on Citizen Journalism and New Media is being organized at Itanagar on 19 and 20 July. To be conducted by a team of qualified resource persons, the workshop aims at actively involving people to report, to present and to launch some sort of campaign on the issues confronting the state and its people for decades. Participants can be from any area of work- advocates, technologists, designers, strategists, citizens, students and civil society organizations who have a desire to use new technology tools and tactics in their campaigns. While there are no pre-requisite qualifications, participants are expected to be tech-savvy about at least the basics of the Internet. Persons and organizations with a track record of active involvement in rights initiatives and those who concentrate on gathering and dissemination of information would be immensely benefitted from the training. More information about the training workshop may be obtained from the CCRD office in Naharlagun.

The workshop is being organized by Babul Gogoi, a prominent advocate of citizen journalism under a fellowship from the Foundation for Social Transformation. His is one of the numerous fellowships that were awarded to individuals across the north-east to take on projects that sought to change the paradigm of development and advocacy. The CCRD are the local partners for the workshop, for which the technical and logistical support is being provided by Mahiti, Bangalore and Panos South Asia, Guwahati.

There should be no room for regret in future

The way our state govt. is gambling with corporate power giants at the cost of the lives of innocent indigenous people is not quite shocking as they are used to it. Given the truth our state is going through transition period, its care taker should be very cautious in shaping it learning from others leaving no room for ‘regret’ in future. The beautiful place of Arunachal Pradesh in the zenith of its natural state can be developed without defacing it or hurting the rights and sentiments of the indigenous people living in it since the time immemorial. There are numerous ways to achieve development through non-injurious and environmental friendly projects like tourism which is emerging global business. Why is govt. dying after mega hydro power projects which are no less nuclear weapon for self destruction?

We are sons of rivers, forests and mountains. These are our identity. Our unwritten history – past and present is associated with it. Why is govt. hell bent in submerging our state? Govt. at Delhi is happy to grant more and more clearance to the power giants. This very attitude reflects their step motherly treatment towards us. Central govt won’t be affected if we are stricken by the negative impacts of these monstrous mega dams. They are just there to secure their seats, earn money and see us suffer and die! It is clear from the appointment of Rakesh Nath as the expert appraisal committee (EAC) chairperson. The man who, till few weeks back was the president of the Indian National Committee of International Commission on Large Dam (INCOLD) which is fanatically pro large dam organization.

Even execution by NHPC which is regarded pretty experienced in Hydro Electric Power projects is opposed by the conscious citizens who are much concerned about the impacts of mega dams on our rich flora, fauna and humanity to be precise, the state govt. has decided to allot (actually allotted) 2000 MW Subansiri Upper project to KSK Energy Ventures Limited (KSKEVL) which has practically nil experience when it comes to big projects in power sector. How can responsible govt. resorts to such irresponsible act? Such callous disregard for the sentiments and rights of the indigenous people by the centre as well as the state govt. should be condemned at the length of worst possible language.

We have witnessed worst disastrous effect of mega dams around the world and at the same time we also have seen how careless these companies about the future safety and relief and rehabilitation packages are.

We do not deny that we‘re not being benefited and off course few of our people may become wealthy but lets not forget that the majority of us and those gaining out of the project will have to live with fear and distress. The twin towns of Upper Subansiri district, Daporijo, the district headquarter and Dumporijo and many other villages lie not only in the downstream but also in the basin of river Subansiri. We’re already under constant fear of future / unseen catastrophes and by damming Subansiri river it would be like implanting deadly bomb over our head. Let’s not take it easy for not experiencing ruthless jolt of late fifties. It can come any time as our area lies in earth quake prone zone.

River Subansiri is the source of livelihood for considerable people of Upper Subansiri district in particular. It is the only source of sand, gravel and boulders of high quality for building of many infrastructures like house, road, etc. All of us know how river bring down these minerals. Once the dam comes up these sources will be finished for once and all. This is just a little instance. There’s much more disastrous effect of such mega dams.

The influx of thousands of workers for the construction of dam is also a major concern. There is fear of spreading of deadly diseases and displacement of our tribal population is quite apparent in such circumstances. Our state is an ecologically and sociologically fragile, seismically active and culturally sensitive. Govt. should think and act judiciously before implementing any project which is not understood and accepted by our indigenous people.

Earning revenue for the state is undeniably an important objective of the govt., but, revenue at the cost of the lives of our people is definitely the people last policy. We are not against Micro Hydro Power projects that can be taken up by the state which has no risk or meager risk and generates power and thereby enhance revenue too.

Thanks to the Print Medias of our state for boldness and unbiased approach in bringing out the truth before its people. Brothers it’s about the time to wake up from deep slumber and fight for our rights before it’s too late.

Fake ILPs should be a cause of concern

Dear Editor,

The recent news of forged inner-line permits issued (ILP) from Bangalmara under Latuk Circle of North Lakhmpur District in Assam is cause of serious concerns for State Government. With some North Eastern States diseased with ultras and underground elements, our state would be safe haven for such bad elements if proper strategy is not applied on right time. With the porous boundaries of the state, strictest measures should be formulated by the state government to check the un-desired population influx from outside. Many Bangladeshis from Laluk/Bangalmara areas are mushrooming in the Capital Complex in search of small job and multiplying their population fast.

Particularly the riverside in Chandrangar and Naharlagun and interior areas of capital has been target of their settlement making the rivers polluted and surroundings unhygienic. The unchecked penetration of these of Bangladeshis may be serious social issue in the years to come if we let this system continue.

Their ILP should be issued on Work Permit basis for a fixed period framed by the Contractor /Owner of works department on the nature & duration required for the work and responsibility should be totally on the contractor/owners to make those workers out of the check gate once the work is completed. In no case renewal of their ILP should be allowed. Remember that we failed "Chakmas & Hajongs" refuges issue.

Dear Editor,

The recent appointment of several advisers to Chief Minister is totally an unwise decision. Now we are told that there are almost eight advisers. My fellow citizens, why are we silent on such an important matter of public interest? Appointment of any person to any post is prerogative of the government but it should be for interest of the state and its people. People or person who is competent and expert in any given subject or field should have been chosen instead of choosing only the members from a particular political party. It is up to literate Arunachalees with sense of duty towards state and Nation to raise their voices.

The environmental problem and global warming is one very serious subject discussed all over world. But in our state it is yet to be taken up by general mass and high class society. Trees planted by the forest department during the opening of state capital are felled unlawfully by greedy land encroachers but concern department is scared to raise a voice and District Administration is helpless because of no written complaint received.

Today poor and downtrodden people do not have a proper land to build their huts but strong and mighty encroach any land even inside Niti Vihar Minister’s Colony. What we need is those who really love Arunachal and the cause of its people. Not the power or fame seekers. Instead of promoting our own particular tribe we must promote and pray for Arunachalees. One Arunachal feeling will surely help our people more than community or tribe based.

‘Arunachalee’ sounds so rustic and crude

Dear Editor,

Nowadays many people write and use the word 'Arunachalee' for the people of Arunachal Pradesh. The term sounds offensive and derogatory for the unique tribal communities. Strangely, some people of Arunachal Pradesh are doing so.

Lets not forget that prior to 1971, there was nothing by the name of 'Arunachal'. Meghalaya people do not use the term 'Meghalayee' for themselves. No Khasi or Garo writer has ever used such a word.

I would like to request the people and media of Arunachal Pradesh not to use the word 'Arunachalee' which sounds so rustic and crude. We are better known by our respective unique nomenclature as Adi, Nyishi, Nocte, Wanchoo, Monpa!!!

Don’t forget the Nepalese

Dear Editor,

This in response to "Marriage Convenience" by Neil Lyndoh. Mr. Lyndoh might have forgotten the Gorkha Regiment who fought for India during the 1962 China-Indo war.

The whole North East might have been with China, had the Nepalese not given their bloods. Regarding marriage, he must remember that marriages are made in heaven and it is not in our hands to decide who our daughter will marry.

On the other hand, he should appreciate inter caste marriage, as it encourage integrity and harmony amongst the citizen.

If Nepalese are illegal migrants than what about Sikkim?

AAPHWS demands separate department

ITANAGAR, Jun 29: All Arunachal Pradesh Handicapped Welfare Society has demanded the state Govt for creation of separate department for welfare of the disabled persons in the state.

In a memorandum to the state Govt, the Society further demanded establishment of a colony for the persons with disabilities at Banderdewa, pensions for senior handicapped citizens and various other facilities being provided under Persons with Disablities Act.

Other demands of the Society include unemployment allowance to educated handicapped youth, scholarship for talented disabled students for higher education, filling up of the backlog quota for physically challenged people, setting up employment exchange in all districts of the state, allocation of 30 per cent supply and contract works, 5 per cent job reservation in corporate sector for handicapped and regularisation of services of disabled persons.

The chairman of the society regretted that despite many acts enacted in favour of the disabled people, the grievances of the physically challeged people are not heard. Chairman said that one of the disabled persons should be appointed at advisor to CM.

SDP for school drop outs

ITANAGAR, Jun 29: Three days programme on Capacity Building Programme under Skill Development Programme (SDP) for the School Drop-outs of Longtom-I village of Kharsang Circle started off with participation by the educated unemployed youth yesterday.

The Prog is organized by AMYAA (NGO) based at Namphai-I and supported and sponsored by the NABARD, Itanagar.

The sessions for the first day were jointly taken up by R. K. Paul Chawang, Secretary of AMYAA, Bennyson NL (Programme Coordinator, Seva Kendra, Miao) and Zuvekho Medeo (Master Trainer of Handicrafts, AMYAA office).

The participants were given orientation cum motivation to develop their skills in various fields of micro-enterprises such as Food Processing, Bee Keeping, Handicrafts (Bamboo making, Cane making and Wood curving, Dry flower making), Poultry, Mushrooming, Carpentry, Motor Mechanic and computer skills. The participants were given the options to choose various micro-enterprises and develop their skills based on the trade they would likely choose.

The organizing agency aims at helping the unemployed school drop-outs to add value to their lives, get trained and become an asset to their families and society. In this way the agency hopes in reducing the number of youth getting addicted to anti-social activities.

Fund raising for Mopin

Aalo, Jun 29: MLA cum Chairman KVIB Jarkar Gamlin inaugurated a week long National Trade Fair at Aalo yesterday.

The fair is being organised by Central Mopin Celebration Committee, Aalo for fund raising of Mopin celebration 2011.

Addressing the gathering, Gamlin appealed to the participating teams comprising different companies to bring and sale quality goods.

Deputy Commissioner A Tak appreciated the CMCC for their innovative ideas of fund raising.

NERIST students for a regular Director

ITANAGAR: Students Union of NERIST in a letter to Chairman, Board of Management, NERIST has called for appointment of a regular Director before the commencement of new academic session. It said that in absence of regular Director for nearly two years, the Institute is prone to outside interference. It further added that many parents are reluctant to admit their children in the Institute because of happening in the Institute.

Society move against illegal migrants

ITANAGAR: Wakro Youths Welfare Society informed that during an ILP checking, it has detected 40 illegal migrants and 26 with invalid Inner Line Permits. It informed that those with invalid permits were handed over to administration in Wakro while illegal immigrants were dispersed out of the state. PR tribunal extended

ITANAGAR: In continuation of Govt notification No PR-98/2003 dt 24.6.2009, the state Govt has extended the period of the Panchayati Raj Election Tribunal for further period of one year with effect from June 16, said a Govt notification. Other terms and conditions shall remain the same as notified earlier.

ITANAGAR: Rajya Sabha MP Mukut Mithi has consented to be chief guest of the Dree Festival at Roing on July 5. Dree Festival Celebration Committee Roing was also formed with MLA Laeta Umbrey as chief patron and Koj Tasser and Hibu Ama as chairman and general secretary respectively. Meanwhile as a part of the activities of the festival, football and volleyball competitions were organised wherein the Danyi-Piilo team and Old Monk team emerged winners.

State Finance Minister Setong Sena and parliamentary secretary, IT and science and technology Jomde Kena have consented to attend the Capital Complex Dree Festival celebration as chief guest and guest of honour at Dree Ground, Papu Nallah on July 5.

ITANAGAR, Jun 29: Malaria Eradication Employee Association (MEEA) has urged the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to fix upper age limit of APPSCEE candidates at 30 instead of 28 on lines with UPSC. It further said because of “this discrepancy” many deserving Arunachalee students could not sit for APPSCC exams in the past.
